Mustang Mach 1 in Plymouth, IN

In 1964, Ford forever changed the world with the introduction of the Mustang. Then, in 1969, Ford blew away other performance cars with the first-ever Mustang Mach 1. In that first year, the Mach 1 set 295 speed and endurance records. Now, the Mach 1 is making a comeback after a break of 17 years.

The all-new 2021 Mustang Mach 1 will deliver impressive power from its 5.0-liter V8 engine. It is track-ready and rated at 480 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. You can choose between the standard Ford Performance six-speed manual and the available 10-speed automatic transmission.

The low-gloss black and magnetic accents and stripes pay homage to the original Mach 1, while the new front grille and fascia help improve aerodynamics and cooling.

“Bold styling, great acceleration and speed — Mach 1 says it all,” said Jim Farley, Ford CEO. “This is one of those special Mustangs that truly brings a smile to the faces of our owners, enthusiasts and fans — including me — so there’s never been a better time to bring back Mach 1 and have it go global too.”

Inside, the Mach 1 has a driver-focused cockpit with a unique Dark Spindrift instrument panel. With the available Ebony leather seats, the interior accent stripes continue the heritage styling of the Mach 1, blending it with modern material quality and designs.

The Mustang Mach 1 is expected to become available at Oliver Ford in Spring 2021.
