Ford Active Drive Assist | Plymouth, IN

Ford is making hands-free driving a reality next year. The all-new 2021 Ford F-150 and Mustang Mach-E will be the first vehicles in the lineup to receive Active Drive Assist, the first-ever hands-free driving technology from Ford.

Active Drive Assist allows you to drive with your hands off the steering wheel whenever you’re in a Hands Free Zone. These zones include divided highways that stretch over 100,000 miles of North American roads, letting you enjoy long trips with less stress. Ford will continue to grow this network over the years, eventually giving you the confidence to travel America hands-free.

“As breakthroughs in new technology allow us to help reduce the stress of long highway drives, it’s important to make sure these capabilities can be enjoyed by the largest spread of people possible,” said Hau Thai-Tang, the chief product platform and operations officer for Ford Motor Company. “Active Drive Assist can help improve the driving experience while ensuring people remain aware and fully in control.”

Ford is launching Active Drive Assist in the third quarter of 2021, and it’ll be available on the F-150 and Mustang Mach-E from launch. If you buy either this year or early next year, you can upgrade your ride with the hardware you’ll need thanks to an available Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 Prep Package. If you buy an F-150 or Mustang Mach-E later next year, you can get the tech built in and all you’ll need to do is activate with an over-the-air update and a one-time payment for three years of use.

The team at Oliver Ford is excited for the future, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next. Visit our showroom in Plymouth, Indiana, to see the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 and Mustang Mach-E in person.
